Counter-Offer.
The sellers counter-offer for $5000 more than we offered, still $10,000 less than the listed price, which we considered a deal, or at least fair market value to begin with. If we accept they are bound to sell it to us if we can come through with the financing. We, on the other hand have two weeks to perform a 'feasibility study" and therefore back out for any reason at that time. We will continue to check-out existing homes and other lots during that time period as well as find out if our contracted lot is buildable and if we can afford it.
