We have been sussing out the the situation on the lot we love (Nyanza), all the while looking at other parcels of land as well as existing houses for 9 days now. There is considerable pressure from the selling party for us to get an offer in, as well as competition from supposed interested parties - although it is usually the rule that even if a house has sat on the market for some time, once you want to buy it someone else will too - you can't always trust that your realtor is being honest about said interest.
Despite our doubts that we are about to lose the lot to someone else, we are sufficiently encouraged to put in an offer - for $15,000 less than asking price.
