Sinks (Poll)

So we need to decide what kind of sink to put on our wood countertop. We have selected a few that we like and that we think would hold up well to the heft and general design of the counter (see photos of the work in progress in post below). There will be matching wood slats about two feet below the counter. The bathroom is plumbed to have the faucet be wall mounted. And we like this one or something similar. It also comes in oil rubbed bronze.

We will be doing a vessel type but want a look that we won't tire of over the next few years and that we can easily integrate into the shower and flooring selection in the room which we have yet to choose.

White Rectangle Granite Square

White Oval
Dark Dreams

(tortoise shell-like)

Blue Circles

Blue Squares

Koi

Green Glass

Blue Rectangle

On the poll you may select more than one if you have multiple favorites - we do.

All of these sinks come from Ovestock.com where there are hundreds more equally stunning sinks and faucets in many shapes, materials and colors if you are in the market for a new sink.

I was, sad to say, so excited to vote in this poll. If you haven't guessed already. . .I am vicariously living through your blog. Your house is amazing. I think I will hire you to design my life, oh I mean house, whenever I get to that stage in life.

i think the oil rubbed bronze will look great against the color of the wood. As for the sink, probably the white square, it's timeless. But they are all so pretty. How fun!

Are you going to have above-the-counter sinks like those at my parents' house (usptairs)? If so, I'm never coming to visit. I hate sinks like that.

Don't these people know you moved here from Hawaii and would much rather be there? I am shocked there aren't more votes for the obviously-island-inspired Koi. I would want to hula everytime I washed my hands with that sink.

Thank you Nathan. We are.

Actually, I don't love using vessels myself but the options are just so cool. Sooo- we are only putting one in downstairs where it isn't used a lot and trying to pick one that isn't too high. The problem at your parents house is that the faucets aren't set right for the sink and they splash. Sara or your mom already warned me about this.

If you still want to come visit - you can come upstairs and use our normal sunk in sinks. In fact you can stay in the kids room and share a bathroom with them.

I don't like: white rectangle, white oval, dark dreams (ugly!), blue square, or green glass. The others are pretty.

Why can't we edit comments!! So annoying! I had to delete my first comment-- I said that they are all so cool that it's really hard to decide. On closer inspection... (and then my second comment :)
