General thoughts

~My youngest brother is going into the missionary training center tomorrow to start his two year mission for our church. Spoke to him breifly this evening and I could here the gravity of the situation that he faces in his voice. Does that ever evoke memories and emotions for me! No question I did more growing up over those two years than perhaps all the rest of my years combined. He'll do well.

~Watching grass grow. Thats what if feels like sometimes with this house. There is always one more thing to do before the loan closes. The lot always looks the same when I drive by at 6pm one day and 6am the next. I guess a good build requires good preparation. The problem with that? Sometimes the preparation doesn't satisfy my need to see progress on the lot. Thats why we have a general contractor. I'd get too antsy and start doing things out of order only to have it bite me down the road and cost more money no doubt.

~Sometimes I regret going into medicine when I could have done something that really helps other people. I should have become a professional athlete when I had the chance.
