Komatsu PC120

This excavator is the coolest machine that's been on the building site yet. It's like a prehistoric creature that destroys with extreme grace. I might take up demolition as a hobby and put this baby on my Christmas list.

Miles got to "drive" the nimble machine and move the bucket up and down. Unfortunately I didn't have my camera for that moment. His sister missed out on the fun because she was asleep in the car - in other words - it was before 10am.

Do you have close ups of the tree guy :) Don't have time to look at all this now, but am going to be on late into the night after the kids are asleep. I'm super excited! Plus I feel like I'm in some kind of sneaky secret club. I love that! (slap, slap, funny finger wiggle on the nose--we need a secret handshake :)XO

Please do not forget the under ground compound with guns an food that come standard in the north. You may also need vaccines, and cages( for intruders) and a deep pit for torture, or to keep your perishbles cool. Mason

What is about heavy equipment (and sometimes its operators) that's so appealing? I love that you've posted videos so we can all be in on the crunching, grinding destruction of this "elegant machine." How awesome to be building your own house; I love the old and creaky myself, but even I'm jealous of how exciting it must be to watch a house grow out of your own design. And I second the bunker idea--I just read "The Road" and you can't be too prepared ...

WOW! Congrats on everything! How's Ben? and the kids! I want to see pictures. I'm so happy for all of your accomplishments and especially the lot.
Lauren is getting big, started H.S. this year! (man, I feel old.) oh well, I guess that's life. Keep in touch.
Love,
